TAGARNO, a well-known Danish manufacturer of high-quality digital microscopes, is currently restructuring its leadership to align with its strategic direction and prepare for the next phase of growth. As the company evolves from a microscope manufacturer into a full-solution partner for quality control and process optimization, TAGARNO has promoted Anders Ravnskjaer Pedersen to Director of R&D and Product Management.
This shift does not involve new responsibilities but rather acknowledges the advanced role TAGARNO’s R&D function plays in building a smarter, more integrated customer experience.
“In recent years, our business scope has far exceeded just selling microscopes. We are creating intelligent platforms that allow customers to customize according to their specific applications — and we provide them with complete, ready-to-deploy solutions to enhance the overall user experience,” said CEO Soeren Schultz. “Anders has been a driving force behind this transformation, and his role reflects the innovative and forward-looking future we are building.”
This promotion comes at a pivotal moment for TAGARNO. The company’s first 4K/60 FPS microscope, the TAGARNO T50, not only marks a significant advancement in imaging clarity and speed but also signals the launch of a new platform strategy. TAGARNO is leveraging the T50 to develop software-based applications, including future AI integration, enabling customers to perform specific inspection and quality control tasks directly on the microscope without additional hardware or software.
As technology evolves, TAGARNO is shifting toward a solutions-based model. Rather than having customers piece together microscopes and third-party accessories to meet complex application needs, TAGARNO now controls the complete user experience, building comprehensive and validated system configurations tailored to industry-specific requirements.
This evolution demands deep product knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and broad application insights — qualities Anders brings to the R&D team.
With strategic partnerships forming and the commercial team expanding, TAGARNO’s global vision is taking shape. Earlier this year, Paul Ashton joined as Sales Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. With over 18 years of experience at Zeiss, his arrival underscores TAGARNO’s growing international presence and renewed focus on long-term partnerships.
“As we move toward more strategic collaborations and solution-driven products, aligned leadership across departments is essential,” Schultz added. “Anders and Paul, working alongside Jack Kools, Vice President of Technical Sales in the U.S., position our customers to expect more integrated innovations — innovations designed not only to meet their needs but to help them stay ahead.”
